L\u2019objectif est le m\u00eame : parcourir la plus grande distance possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moins connu que son grand fr\u00e8re (le test de Cooper), le demi-Cooper est pourtant largement utilis\u00e9 par les entra\u00eeneurs pour estimer la <strong><a href=\"\/tableau-calcul-vma\/\"target=\"_top\" title=\"VMA\" >VMA<\/a> (Vitesse Maximale A\u00e9robie)<\/strong>, donn\u00e9e cl\u00e9 pour planifier des entra\u00eenements pr\u00e9cis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Le principe du test demi-Cooper<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Alors que le Cooper donne une estimation de la VO2max, le demi-Cooper est davantage orient\u00e9 vers la VMA. En 6 minutes seulement, on obtient une estimation fiable de la VMA. Moins exigeant que le Cooper, il est plus accessible aux d\u00e9butants et moins traumatisant pour l\u2019organisme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il est \u00e9galement <strong>facile \u00e0 organiser<\/strong> : une piste d\u2019athl\u00e9tisme et un chronom\u00e8tre suffisent. Enfin, il est reproductible et peut \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9 plusieurs fois par an pour suivre ses progr\u00e8s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Les limites<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme le Cooper, le demi-Cooper reste un <strong>test maximal<\/strong> : il demande de se donner \u00e0 100 % pendant 6 minutes, ce qui peut \u00eatre difficile pour certains. Les r\u00e9sultats peuvent \u00eatre biais\u00e9s si le coureur part trop vite ou, au contraire, s\u2019\u00e9conomise trop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De plus, il donne une estimation moins fine de la VO2max que le Cooper, puisqu\u2019il est davantage orient\u00e9 VMA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Quand utiliser le demi-Cooper ?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le demi-Cooper est particuli\u00e8rement utile pour les coureurs amateurs qui veulent conna\u00eetre leur VMA sans subir la contrainte d\u2019un Cooper. Il est aussi adapt\u00e9 aux cycles d\u2019entra\u00eenement courts : en d\u00e9but de pr\u00e9paration, il permet de d\u00e9finir les allures de travail, puis de mesurer les progr\u00e8s en milieu de saison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le test demi-Cooper est une alternative simple, rapide et efficace au test de Cooper. En seulement 6 minutes, il fournit une estimation fiable de la VMA, directement exploitable pour l\u2019entra\u00eenement.
