Cette donn\u00e9e cl\u00e9 permet de calibrer ses entra\u00eenements, de structurer ses s\u00e9ances de fractionn\u00e9 et de mieux pr\u00e9parer ses comp\u00e9titions. Parmi les diff\u00e9rents tests existants pour mesurer la VMA, le <strong>test VAMEVAL<\/strong> est l\u2019un des plus utilis\u00e9s. Simple \u00e0 mettre en place, pr\u00e9cis et reproductible, il constitue une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour les coureurs, les entra\u00eeneurs et m\u00eame les pr\u00e9parateurs physiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans cet article, nous allons d\u00e9tailler ce qu\u2019est le test VAMEVAL, son protocole, comment le r\u00e9aliser dans de bonnes conditions, quelles sont ses limites et comment exploiter les r\u00e9sultats pour vos entra\u00eenements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Qu\u2019est-ce que le test VAMEVAL ?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le test VAMEVAL est un test d\u2019effort progressif qui permet d\u2019estimer la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wanarun.net\/tableau-calcul-vma\/\">VMA<\/a> d\u2019un coureur. D\u00e9velopp\u00e9 en France dans les ann\u00e9es 1980 par Georges Cazorla, enseignant-chercheur en physiologie de l\u2019exercice, ce test repose sur une augmentation r\u00e9guli\u00e8re de la vitesse de course toutes les minutes, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9puisement du coureur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contrairement \u00e0 d\u2019autres tests comme le demi-Cooper (6 minutes \u00e0 fond) ou le test de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wanarun.net\/blog\/luc-leger-73140.html\">Leger-Boucher<\/a>, le VAMEVAL est con\u00e7u pour \u00eatre <strong>progressif et non traumatisant<\/strong>. Le coureur doit atteindre le rep\u00e8re sonore ou visuel au moment exact du bip.<\/li><li>Lorsque le coureur n\u2019arrive plus \u00e0 suivre le rythme (deux signaux manqu\u00e9s cons\u00e9cutifs), le test s\u2019arr\u00eate.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>La vitesse atteinte lors de la derni\u00e8re minute compl\u00e8te correspond \u00e0 la VMA estim\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exemple : si vous tenez jusqu\u2019au palier 16 km\/h mais \u00e9chouez au palier 16,5, votre VMA est de 16 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Comment se pr\u00e9parer au test VAMEVAL ?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le VAMEVAL, m\u00eame s\u2019il est progressif, reste un test maximal. Il n\u00e9cessite donc une pr\u00e9paration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avant le test, un \u00e9chauffement complet de 20 minutes est conseill\u00e9 : footing l\u00e9ger, exercices de mobilit\u00e9, quelques lignes droites pour activer le cardio. Il est pr\u00e9f\u00e9rable de r\u00e9aliser le test dans des conditions optimales : une piste plate et r\u00e9guli\u00e8re, une temp\u00e9rature mod\u00e9r\u00e9e, une bonne hydratation et un \u00e9tat de fra\u00eecheur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enfin, il est recommand\u00e9 de ne pas programmer le VAMEVAL en plein cycle d\u2019entra\u00eenement intensif, mais plut\u00f4t en d\u00e9but de cycle ou apr\u00e8s une p\u00e9riode de repos relatif, afin d\u2019obtenir une mesure repr\u00e9sentative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Exploiter les r\u00e9sultats du test<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Une fois votre VMA d\u00e9termin\u00e9e, vous pouvez calibrer vos s\u00e9ances d\u2019entra\u00eenement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Les footings en endurance fondamentale se courent entre 60 et 70 % de la VMA.<\/li><li>Les s\u00e9ances de fractionn\u00e9 court (30\/30, 200 m) se font autour de 100 % de la VMA.<\/li><li>Les fractions plus longues (800 m, 1000 m) se courent entre 90 et 95 %.<\/li><li>Les sorties sp\u00e9cifiques semi-marathon ou marathon se situent autour de 80 \u00e0 85 %.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Ainsi, une VMA de 16 km\/h signifie :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>endurance fondamentale entre 9,5 et 11 km\/h,<\/li><li><a href=\"\/blog\/je-fractionne-tu-fractionnes-seance-de-fractionnes-324.html\"target=\"_top\" title=\"fractionn\u00e9\" >fractionn\u00e9s<\/a> courts autour de 16 km\/h,<\/li><li><a href=\"\/blog\/allure-et-vitesse-la-difference-2324.html\"target=\"_top\" title=\"Allure ou vitesse\" >allures<\/a> sp\u00e9cifiques 10 km autour de 14,5 km\/h.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2>Les avantages du test VAMEVAL<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le VAMEVAL est appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 pour sa pr\u00e9cision et sa simplicit\u00e9. Il est facile \u00e0 mettre en place sur une piste avec un fichier sonore et des plots. Sa progressivit\u00e9 le rend moins traumatisant que des tests \u201c\u00e0 fond\u201d comme le Cooper. Enfin, il est reproductible : vous pouvez le r\u00e9p\u00e9ter plusieurs fois dans la saison pour suivre vos progr\u00e8s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Les limites du test VAMEVAL<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le VAMEVAL n\u2019est pas exempt de limites. Comme tout test de terrain, il reste une estimation : la vraie VO2max n\u00e9cessiterait un test en laboratoire avec analyse des gaz respiratoires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De plus, il n\u00e9cessite un minimum de logistique : piste, signal sonore, plots. R\u00e9alis\u00e9 seul, il peut \u00eatre difficile de se motiver jusqu\u2019au bout, ce qui biaise le r\u00e9sultat. Deux \u00e0 trois fois par an suffisent pour ajuster ses allures. Le moment id\u00e9al est en d\u00e9but de cycle d\u2019entra\u00eenement (par exemple avant une pr\u00e9paration marathon ou trail), puis \u00e9ventuellement en milieu de saison pour mesurer les progr\u00e8s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le test VAMEVAL est un outil incontournable pour les coureurs souhaitant progresser. Fiable, progressif et relativement simple \u00e0 mettre en place, il permet d\u2019obtenir une estimation pr\u00e9cise de sa VMA et de calibrer ses allures d\u2019entra\u00eenement. Utilis\u00e9 intelligemment, il devient un v\u00e9ritable alli\u00e9 dans la planification de vos s\u00e9ances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais comme tout test, il doit s\u2019inscrire dans une d\u00e9marche globale : \u00e9couter son corps, varier les intensit\u00e9s, int\u00e9grer du repos et de la r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration.
