L&rsquo;occasion de profiter de cette vall\u00e9e et de rencontrer les traileurs et tout l&rsquo;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me qui gravite autour de cette discipline. Comme j&rsquo;aime les d\u00e9fis et que je suis un grand fan de Strava, j&rsquo;ai profit\u00e9 d&rsquo;avoir quelques heures \u00e0 occuper pour relever le challenge <a href=\"https:\/\/strava.app.link\/iruntothetop\">i-Run to the top<\/a> : faire 500m de d\u00e9nivel\u00e9 positif pendant la semaine de l&rsquo;UTMB.<\/p>\n<p>Pour \u00eatre s\u00fbr de r\u00e9aliser ce challenge facilement (sous entendu sans r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir par o\u00f9 passer), je me suis dit que c&rsquo;\u00e9tait l&rsquo;occasion de tenter le kilom\u00e8tre vertical de Chamonix. Une chose \u00e9tait s\u00fbre si j&rsquo;y parviens, le challenge sera largement rempli !<\/p>\n<p>Le parcours est simple : partir de la place du triangle de l&rsquo;amiti\u00e9, devant l&rsquo;\u00e9glise de Chamonix et aller directement \u00e0 Plan-praz en passant sous le t\u00e9l\u00e9cabine qui permet d&rsquo;y aller normalement.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-61781 size-full-single-page\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wanarun.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/kilometre-vertical-chamonix-2-465x620.jpg\" alt=\"Kilom\u00e8tre vertical de chamonix\" width=\"465\" height=\"620\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wanarun.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/kilometre-vertical-chamonix-2-465x620.jpg 465w, https:\/\/www.wanarun.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/kilometre-vertical-chamonix-2-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.wanarun.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/kilometre-vertical-chamonix-2-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.wanarun.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/kilometre-vertical-chamonix-2-113x150.jpg 113w, https:\/\/www.wanarun.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/kilometre-vertical-chamonix-2.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 465px) 100vw, 465px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>La premi\u00e8re partie est goudronn\u00e9e et permet d&rsquo;aller au pied du t\u00e9l\u00e9cabine, ensuite on le contourne par la droite et on attaque directement une succession de lacets.\u00a0 Et cela n&rsquo;en finit pas. La pente est brutale, il suffit de calculer : 1000m de d\u00e9nivel\u00e9 positif sur 3,5 kilom\u00e8tres de distance, cela donne une pente moyenne de 28%&#8230; cela se passe de commentaires.<\/p>\n<p>Inutile de courir, cela me parait tout simplement impossible mais il faut avoir \u00e0 l&rsquo;esprit que les meilleurs de la discipline le monte en 35 minutes&#8230; sachant que je mettrai pr\u00e8s d&rsquo;une heure et trente sans conna\u00eetre le terrain. Si dans les deux premiers tiers du parcours, il n&rsquo;y a pas de difficult\u00e9s techniques, les choses se g\u00e2tent \u00e0 partir de 700 m de d\u00e9nivel\u00e9 positif\u00a0 : \u00e9chelle en fer, petit pont en bois pour passer un trou, plaques de fer dans la roche pour monter&#8230; c&rsquo;est de la via ferrata en mode \u00ab\u00a0facile\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Au milieu de la derni\u00e8re partie, j&rsquo;ai rencontr\u00e9 une \u00e9trang\u00e8re un peu perdue, elle ne savait pas trop o\u00f9 passer mais il suffisait de suivre le \u00ab\u00a0chemin\u00a0\u00bb.
