Bas\u00e9e sur une r\u00e9p\u00e9tition rapide de bonds, elle est tr\u00e8s pris\u00e9e des basketteurs par exemple. Depuis quelques ann\u00e9es, elle a fait son apparition dans le milieu de la course \u00e0 pied, ce qui se con\u00e7oit tr\u00e8s bien : l&rsquo;id\u00e9e de base de la plyom\u00e9trie est de faire se succ\u00e9der \u00e0 vitesse \u00e9lev\u00e9e des s\u00e9quences \u00e9tirement \/ contraction du muscle, s\u00e9quences que l&rsquo;on retrouve \u00e9videmment dans la foul\u00e9e du coureur.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;objectif d&rsquo;une pratique r\u00e9guli\u00e8re &#8211; une fois par semaine &#8211;\u00a0serait donc de rendre la foul\u00e9e plus efficace, moins gourmande en \u00e9nergie donc de permettre soit de courir plus longtemps, soit de courir plus vite.<\/p>\n<p>Attention ! Le principe m\u00eame de la plyom\u00e9trie, la succession rapide de bonds, fait que, mal pratiqu\u00e9e, elle peut \u00eatre source de blessures. Le positionnement pr\u00e9cis du corps est d&rsquo;une importance fondamentale au cours de l&rsquo;exercice. Il est donc fortement recommand\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00eatre encadr\u00e9 par un sp\u00e9cialiste de la chose avant de se lancer !
